Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy

1. Seller responsibility

Sellers may upload, advertise and sell only material they own or are authorized to use. Educational purpose does not by itself authorize copying a protected work. Sellers are responsible for checking employer, district, publisher, asset-library, font, trademark and other licence restrictions before publishing.

2. Copyright notices

If you believe material on Classmade infringes your copyright, send a notice to hi@classmade.co. A useful notice identifies the copyrighted work, identifies the allegedly infringing material and its Classmade location, provides your name and contact information, and includes a statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.

For a notice intended to satisfy the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, include the information and statements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), including a physical or electronic signature and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

3. What happens after a notice

We review notices for sufficient information and may remove or disable access to material while the claim is evaluated. We may forward relevant notice information to the Seller so the Seller can understand and respond to the allegation, subject to privacy, safety and legal requirements.

Classmade can restore material when a complaint is withdrawn, a valid counter-notice process is completed, a court resolves the dispute or we otherwise determine restoration is appropriate and lawful.

4. Counter-notices

If your material was removed because of a copyright notice and you believe removal was a mistake or misidentification, contact hi@classmade.co. For a U.S. DMCA counter-notice, provide the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g), including your signature, identification of the removed material and its former location, the required statement under penalty of perjury, and the required consent to jurisdiction and service of process.

Submitting a false notice or counter-notice can have legal consequences. If you are unsure whether material infringes, consider obtaining independent legal advice before submitting a formal notice.

5. Repeat infringement

Classmade has a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, accounts of repeat infringers. We consider the number, nature, reliability and outcome of complaints, counter-notices, court orders and other relevant evidence rather than treating every allegation as a final legal determination.

6. Trademarks and other rights

For a trademark, publicity, privacy or other intellectual-property complaint, email hi@classmade.co with the right you assert, the material at issue, why you believe the use is unlawful and your contact information. We may request additional evidence before taking action.
