Terms of Service
Last updated August 19, 2026
1. Agreement and operator
Classmade is operated by Grid Creative Advertising Inc. ("Classmade", "we", "us"). These Terms govern your access to Classmade, including Classmade-powered storefronts, seller tools, buyer services and related features. By creating an account, buying a resource or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
The Marketplace Rules and any product-specific licence terms that apply to you form part of these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. Who Classmade is for
Seller accounts are intended for adults acting in a bona fide education-related capacity, including teachers, tutors, homeschool educators, school staff, curriculum or teaching-resource creators and education organizations. You must be at least 18 and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
Seller accounts are not student or minor accounts and are not general-purpose retail storefronts. We may decline, restrict or close accounts that are not being used primarily for legitimate educational-resource activity.
Buyer accounts and purchasing features are intended for adults and organizations. A minor may use a resource provided by a parent, guardian or educator, but should not create or operate a Classmade account on their own.
3. Accounts and verification
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure and promptly update information that becomes inaccurate. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
We may ask a Seller to verify identity, authority to operate a store, education-related purpose, business information, rights in listed content or other facts reasonably needed for safety, payment processing, legal compliance or marketplace integrity. Payment-provider identity checks do not replace Classmade’s own right to review eligibility.
4. Classmade’s role
Classmade provides software, storefront, checkout, delivery and related marketplace infrastructure. Unless we expressly say otherwise for a particular transaction, each Resource is created and offered by the Seller identified on the storefront. Classmade does not endorse every Resource and does not promise that every Resource is accurate, complete or suitable for a particular learner or curriculum.
We may provide tools that help Sellers create, format, describe, classify, price, market or deliver Resources. Suggestions are editable starting points, not Classmade approval, educational review or a valuation of the Resource. The Seller remains responsible for what they publish and sell.
5. Educational purpose and audience suitability
Resources offered through Classmade must have a legitimate educational purpose and must be reasonably appropriate for the grade, age range, subject and audience identified by the Seller. Sellers are responsible for accurately describing the intended audience and reviewing every Resource before publication.
Store names, Resource titles, cover images, thumbnails, public previews, descriptions and other material visible on public Classmade pages must be suitable for broad public viewing, including by educators, parents and students who may encounter the page. A Resource may address sensitive subjects such as health, sexuality, violence, discrimination, religion, conflict or historical events when the subject is presented in a legitimate educational context and in a manner reasonably appropriate for the intended learners.
Classmade may remove, restrict or require changes to material that is primarily adult entertainment, exploitative, gratuitously graphic, deceptive, unsafe or materially inconsistent with the audience represented by the Seller. By choosing Publish or Published, a Seller confirms the Resource has a legitimate educational purpose, is reasonably appropriate for its stated audience, its public-facing listing content is suitable for broad public viewing, and the Seller owns or has permission to sell the content.
6. Seller content and intellectual property
You keep ownership of content you upload. You grant Classmade a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, format, display, deliver, cache and reasonably promote that content as needed to operate, secure and market the Classmade service and your storefront. This operational licence ends when the content is deleted, except where continued processing is reasonably required for completed purchases, legal obligations, backups, dispute evidence or enforcement.
You represent that you own your content or have all permissions needed to upload, advertise, license and sell it. This includes checking employer, school board, district, publisher, stock-asset, font, trademark and work-for-hire restrictions. Educational purpose alone does not automatically make use of third-party material lawful.
Our Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy describes notices, removals, counter-notices and repeat-infringer handling.
7. Marketplace Rules
You must follow the Marketplace Rules, including the restrictions on student data, infringing material, deceptive listings, unsafe or illegal content, malware, spam, impersonation and non-educational commerce. The Rules are designed to keep Classmade focused on legitimate educational resources and may be updated as new abuse patterns appear.
8. Students, minors and sensitive data
Do not upload, publish or enter into Classmade identifiable student information or education records, including student names, personal email addresses, photos, voice recordings, grades, assessment results, IEP or accommodation information, health information, disciplinary records or identifiable student work. Do not put that information into AI prompts or support requests either.
If you need examples in a Resource, use fictional, anonymized or properly licensed information. If we learn that student or child personal information has been submitted, we may remove it, restrict the account and take other steps reasonably required by law or safety considerations.
9. AI-assisted and automated suggestions
Some Classmade tools may use artificial intelligence or deterministic software to suggest text, designs, classifications, prices or other draft material. Suggestions can be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable. You must review them before publishing and remain responsible for legality, accuracy, accessibility, audience suitability, educational appropriateness and intellectual-property clearance.
Do not enter student data, confidential school information, passwords, payment information or other sensitive personal information into AI features. Our AI disclosure explains where AI may be used and our Privacy Policy explains the related data processing.
10. Prices, plans and Classmade fees
Sellers set Resource prices within the options supported by Classmade. Any suggested starting price is an editable convenience based on limited product signals and is not a valuation, appraisal, guarantee of sales or recommendation that a Resource is worth a particular amount. Classmade may charge platform fees, subscription fees or other fees shown before the relevant transaction or plan purchase.
If you choose a recurring paid plan, it renews at the interval shown when you subscribe until cancelled. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless the checkout or applicable law says otherwise. Mandatory cancellation, refund and consumer rights are not limited by this paragraph.
11. Payments, payouts, disputes and chargebacks
Payment processing and Seller onboarding are provided through Stripe. Sellers must satisfy Stripe’s applicable connected-account terms and verification requirements. Payment availability, payout timing, reserves, reversals and supported countries can depend on Stripe and the payment route used for the Seller.
Refunds, disputes, chargebacks, fraud reviews and payment reversals can reduce or reverse Seller proceeds and Classmade fees as required by the payment system and applicable law. We may restrict paid selling or account access when reasonably necessary to respond to payment risk, fraud, legal process or unresolved disputes.
12. Taxes
Sellers remain responsible for their own income, business, registration and filing obligations. Responsibility for transaction taxes on a buyer purchase can vary by jurisdiction and marketplace law.
Where applicable law makes a Seller responsible for calculating, collecting, reporting or remitting transaction tax, the Seller remains responsible for that obligation unless Classmade expressly provides otherwise. Where law requires Classmade, a payment provider or another party to calculate, collect, report, withhold or remit tax, we may do so. Nothing in these Terms transfers a statutory tax obligation away from the person or entity that the law makes responsible.
13. Buyer purchases, delivery and refunds
A purchase gives the Buyer the licence stated in the applicable EULA or any broader licence expressly offered by the Seller. Ownership of copyright in the Resource is not transferred merely because a copy is purchased.
Digital Resources may be delivered immediately. Refund rights depend on the Seller’s stated policy, the condition of the Resource, payment-system rules and mandatory consumer-protection law. Nothing in these Terms removes a refund, cancellation, conformity or withdrawal right that cannot lawfully be waived.
14. Moderation, suspension and termination
We may investigate reports, remove or delist content, limit features, pause paid selling, preserve evidence, suspend accounts or terminate access when we reasonably believe there is infringement, fraud, illegality, student-data exposure, serious safety risk, material audience-suitability concerns, repeated rule-breaking, payment risk or material harm to Classmade or its users.
When appropriate and legally permitted, we may ask for information, provide notice or allow an appeal before or after enforcement. Immediate action may be necessary for urgent safety, fraud, legal or security concerns. You may stop using Classmade at any time, subject to obligations arising from completed transactions and outstanding balances.
15. Third-party services
Classmade depends on third-party services such as payment processors, hosting, authentication, storage and email providers. Their services can be subject to separate terms and availability. We are not responsible for a third party’s independent acts or outages, but we remain responsible for Classmade obligations that applicable law places on us.
16. Service changes and availability
We may improve, change or discontinue features and may impose reasonable limits to protect reliability, security or legal compliance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage of deleted material or that every feature will be available in every country.
17. Disclaimers
Except for rights and warranties that cannot be excluded by law, Classmade is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not make professional educational, legal, tax or accounting decisions for Sellers or Buyers and do not warrant that a Resource will satisfy a particular curriculum, school policy or learning outcome.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Classmade is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential losses, lost profits or lost business arising from the service or third-party Resources. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is prohibited by law, including rights that apply to consumers regardless of contract language.
19. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, a Seller agrees to defend, indemnify and hold Classmade harmless from third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from the Seller’s content, infringement, unlawful listings, misuse of student or personal data, breach of these Terms or violation of law. This does not require a consumer to indemnify Classmade where applicable law prohibits it.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for product, legal, security or marketplace reasons. We will post the updated date and, when a change is material or applicable law requires it, provide additional notice or request renewed acceptance. Continued use after an effective change can constitute acceptance where legally permitted.
