Terms of Service

1. Overview
Classmade provides a website-builder and commerce platform that lets teachers ("Sellers") create storefronts and sell downloadable educational resources to buyers ("Buyers"). By using Classmade you agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
3. Seller responsibilities
Sellers are responsible for the content they upload and sell, including ensuring it is lawful and appropriate for an educational marketplace. Content ownership and copyright obligations are described in Section 4.
Sellers set their own prices. Sellers are responsible for any taxes that apply to their sales. Classmade deducts a platform fee per sale based on the Seller’s plan, and the remainder is paid out to the Seller via Stripe.
4. Your content and intellectual property
You keep ownership of everything you upload. By uploading content you grant Classmade a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, deliver, and reasonably promote that content for the purpose of operating the platform — for example showing it on your storefront, in marketplace listings, and in previews. This license ends when you delete the content, except for copies buyers have already purchased.
You represent and warrant that you own your uploaded content or hold all rights needed to sell it; that it does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, or other rights; and that no third party — including a school district or employer under a work-for-hire arrangement or employment agreement — has a claim to it. If you created materials as part of your job, you are responsible for confirming you have the right to sell them.
Classmade does not review, verify, or approve uploaded content and is not responsible for ensuring your resources comply with copyright or any other law. That responsibility is solely yours as the Seller. You agree to indemnify and hold Classmade harmless from any claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you upload or sell.
If you believe content on Classmade infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@classmade.co with the work identified, the location of the allegedly infringing material, your contact details, and a statement of good-faith belief. We respond to valid notices by removing or disabling access to the material, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
5. Payments and payouts
Payments are processed by Stripe. By selling on Classmade you also agree to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement. Payouts are sent to the Seller’s connected Stripe account on Stripe’s standard schedule.
6. Refunds
Because resources are digital goods delivered instantly, refunds are handled at the discretion of the Seller and Classmade, consistent with applicable consumer-protection law.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform, infringe others’ intellectual property, upload malware, or attempt to access data you are not authorized to access.
8. Termination
You may stop using Classmade at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms — including repeat copyright infringement — or that create risk for the platform or its users.
9. Disclaimer
Classmade is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Classmade is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
