Here is how it works on Classmade
Classmade keeps tax collected at checkout separate from the money you earn from your Resources. When a reviewed tax setup is active, the right tax can be calculated for that transaction.
The legal responsibility to collect or remit transaction tax can belong to the seller or to Classmade, depending on the rules for that sale. Classmade does not automatically register your business for tax.
And what about your own taxes?
Your income tax, business registrations, and any sales you make outside Classmade are part of your own business. Your Classmade reports can help with your records, but they cannot tell the whole story.
If you are already registered to collect tax, keep your Stripe tax details up to date. If you are not sure whether you should register, check the current government guidance or speak with an accountant.
